[This Town Ep1 (New)]

kinda weird!

Very good art, sound, story etc.

The animation is not the greatest and the lip sync is relatively crude, but its entertaining and strangly blue.

I found it hard to hear some of what they said, especially near the beginning, but I got the hang of it as we went along. I was a bit shocked at the apparent dark ending and dissappointed at what appeared to be an NG cop-out ending, until the story suddenly moved on. I don't quite understand that bit, I suppose it was some kind of dream/nightmare fantasy thing, tho who was dreaming it was not clear to me.

I sense that you enjoyed making this and I will catch some more episodes.

thanks for the comments. it was the ninja's fantasy. it zoomed into her eyes. she's the bodyguard of the big boss, and all she thinks about is killing basically.
yeah, the lip sync is kinda weird. we use toon boom and the lip sync could do with some improvements.

I just couldn't understand it. I 2/5 it cos its sort of interesting and quite long, with some interesting bits and pieces in it, but no, I don't know whats going on. Some of it is too dark to see; some flashes by too quick and some is probably refering to things I don't know about. I Hope others get more out of it than I do.

The scene around the 'murder' is difficult to see as it is all dark
The english is good but not perfect- Its pronounced catastroPHE and the words
"tend to cope with" implies that people succeed in coping with it, whereas I am sure you mean "have to cope with"

On a philosophical note, I don't see the evidence that such things as paranoia are a new thing. IMO some people have always had these feelings and the "These Days" is an illusion.

Glad the syncing problems don't show up too much, but we ourselves do notice it though. Luckily we know what I (Vadinci) did wrong, and Positron will upload a better version soon.

We also know our English isn't perfect (In the first text part I wrote "usefull" with two L's) but we are still young and have loads of time left to master the language.

Its OK cc stuff

Nothing great, but its OK. Its what ordinary cc stuff is supposed to be and the little poem is not bad. I have always loved lego, so I think it is great to have a Lego clock.

I understand that its not everybodies cup of tea, but its not nasty, its not scribbly and its harmless enough. I hope you think up some good, funny stuff and put a bit of effort into your cc subs. The cc contains a lot of hasty crap, but it also has some of the best Flash on Newgrounds. Sorry I can't honestly give you a better review score, but I did just improve your score some.

Its fun; its OK.

My sympathies for the lag. I usually find the same problem. Every time I ask someone about it, they tell me different answers- some, sometimes work, but the truth is that Flash is not well designed to avoid that, in my oppinion.
Sometimes changing from Event to Stream helps; sometimes inserting blank sound files into key places helps. Search the forums and tuts to find the answers; it is critical to music videos like this and would improve this SO much. Sadly, the lag does rather spoil it :(

Regarding the funding, you won't get any money if you don't set up a means to recieve it, but really, provided you credit everybody, it is reasonable for you to accept the tiny ammount you might get for it- you can always give it to charity.

The next step up in improving this video would be full lip sync, which is hard work.

Thankyou very much. I was disappointed with the drop in quality, I'll see if I can get it fixed and repost it later. With such a gaff, I'd probably score myself a 3 because timing is beyond critical.
On a different note, if I can get rid of the lag, it'll be pretty good. I could not lip sync the video since I put the audio on event (doing this was the only way I could get the audio and footage to sync at all for my class project). I just estimated and it plays very nicely on my compy. So, for now I'll toy with it and repost it in better quality. Thank you for your time.

The music is reasonable and the video kinda goes with it OK. Its a bit too short to really get into and the video is a bit too scribbly for my taste, but meh.

Good, but...

One MUST see the first one to appreciate it, so a big button on a prescene, telling people to go there first would be VERY good.

Otherwise, its perfect, sounds, voices, slowed music, humour.

Thought the hot dog thing was kinda funny.

Its not a great visual quality, as you know, especially for such a big file, but yeah, I might check out the sequel when you do it.

It works OK and it has all the elements of a standard Ock movie, but its just not very funny, so there's not much point to it. Sorry, it doesn't float my boat.
