[Christmas Carol parody]

difficult to review-score

My head says its not very good, but my heart says you put quite a bit into it.

+you have indeed told the whole story, more or less.

-the images are scrappy
-The sound really is pretty rough. The worst aspect is that the music is too loud in relation to the speaking. Seeing as its in Speakonia, which is not the easiest to hear I cna hardly make out the workdsYou explained why you used Speakonia, but I am afraid it hasn't come out at all well.
-The animation is very limited.
-there are no real backgrounds. It would help a lot to explain the story if we could see where people are and a bit of snow on things.
See what you can do to improve this.

It doesnt seem to sync all that well in the later stages, but we got the idea. I have to say I have no idea what the real lyrics are!

For all I know yours WERE the real lyrics.

Do more like this and see if you can incorporate a bit more Flash into them for the serious types like SCM, who is reviewing just before me tonight! People love misheard lyrics, there are websites just for them!

[How To Use motion guides]

Good tut.

Looked good, worked well. Useful, made me feel like learning these things I don't know.

However-
-title yellow text on white looks bad
-spelling not perfect- bad on tutorials where it lowers confidence eg.
"GUILD LAYER"
and "beggining". Get someone who is good at english to go through it all and credit them "text edited by" Its not that hard for anyone and adds that touch.

you helpfully put in "Click Here if you don't know...
I think the text for that part would look better just slightly different colour on the up; also it should have a rectagualr hit area, not just the default of the buttons.

I will now go and try the Motion guide tut!

How about a little info button at the end taking you to info about bad debt. Something fairly discreet, not a big lecture, just a few facts and maybe a source of info for people to get help or something?

I know what you mean about the deadline. I got mine finished with a few hours to spare and my IP server went down! :( !
I am pretty strict about unfinished work on the portal but under the circumstances it was more than worth submitting it. I gave it the best score I've ever given unfinished work.

Although the sound quality is good enough I would still like subtitles just get all the subtleties- please.

Like most of these things, its only really funny if you know the world of Clocks and the other cybergangs. but I do and it is. We dont write where to find ee's in reviews do we?

the subts for Going Down... weren't quite right, but I guess that's not important.

Maybe take out the sulky bit in your notes. Most people say things like 'thanks for front page' and stuff not ungrateful grizzling when they have been given a score over 4/5. lol

Lots of bits and pieces of humour some nice and subtle. loved the plug joke, the tree and the soft toy and baseball bat.

The thing is that most people don't get anything about other groups, there are some things that don't make sense to anybody, and then stuff that many people can relate to, I try to make a good mix of these things in my flash so everyone can enjoy them.

Yeah, I know that the subtitles for Going Down to NG weren't correct, but there weren't any lyrics available and I've never been good at interpreting sounds.

Well actually, this isn't truly on the frontpage, this is just an automated position that I've gotten because this movie is in the Christmas 05 collections, but more publicity is always nice. :)

Anyhow, glad you liked this movie, I'm making another for this years Christmas as well, thanks for the actually helpful review!

Good

i was ready to give it 2/5 cos I knew it was OK but I dont vote high on stuff without much Flash in it. However, it was entertaining and the flash bits were good. The fall over the bag stunt was good. Not comfortable with the smoking.

Some of the credits were hard to read- the smaller, black&white text.

aye. The original movie is designed for a TV screen, so this is just a small version for web viewing. Hence a lot of the details are lacking.

-I don't understand it at all. If you want us all to vote well you need to explain things a bit to the millions of us that don't have a Wii and who don't know what a facewich is.
-speed up the sitting down bit.
-make the one guy look more different to the other.
-put in credits eg sound source, voice

thanks, yea one of my friends is random and he loves to say facewhich, so I decided to put it in. I'll try and improve it on the next one or maybe make this one better and update it in edit mode.
