nice

good music, good timing good art and animation. Nice simple message.

Nice healthy green grass looked odd after the explosion. otherwise fine.

Maybe you need to team up somehow with the guy that produced the movie Nuclear Waste that is going through judgement this evening! Maybe see if you can get a few more and make a website.

Maybe you could put in a few info links at the end.

Jorgon responds:

Oh man, I can't believe I left the green grass in... I could swear I changed it... Oh well. Thanks for the review anyways.

Its very good.

Its a bit funny, it develops nicely, its well drawn, the animation is fine.

It is limited by the fact that the keys very obviously don't go down, but apart from that its fine.

Foreverland responds:

I considered making the keys go down, but it was going to be a huge pain in my ass to make symbols for every key, and time wouldn't permit it. Thanks for checking it out!

Made me smile

Its all OK except I couldn't hear what the blue guy said; I got the idea though.
Best Wishes to CC & LL from the DS

ScrewdriverClock responds:

The sound quality does drop at that point, but its a good thing that you got the idea. Happy flashing!

Very weird!

Insanity stuff. Vaguely reminiscent of Salad Fingers and one or two others here. Its all good and I wouldn't change anything.

JakeySnakey responds:

I don't know what others this would be reminiscent of, as I am fairly new to newgrounds .... .but salad fingers is one of my favorites .... He's contributed to a few of my bad trips and a few of those nightmares where you wake up wanting to go back in.

fun

I don't know who Pyramid Head is, so it was hard to really get this one. Maybe some Info might be in order.
Axolotls! yay! I was hoping the little picture in the corner would turn out to be a button and take me to amphibians- please do this!
Do we get to see PHead dance round the pole?
Your little giggle makes this.

Best Wishes,
Ice

heather-lanham responds:

pyramid head dances becaues I was paid in vintage my-little-ponies to make him dance. (I collect them) I have added the axolotl button. just mouseover it and see a cute, pink anime axolotl. thank you SO much for your review! --Heather

Yeah, clocks...

Four different clocks dancing with four different rhythms, none of them in time to the music. That sounds like the Clock Crew we know and love- lol.
This is borderline work, almost a jiggy music bl@m, but they all come in seperately and its a little bit funny. Really this isn't much of a sub, it would be better as part of something else.

Best Wishes,
Ice

PS to the guy before me- they are not all friut and you can't count up to five, pal, there's only four!

SkyClock responds:

The Clock Crew loves you.

Very Good,funny

Please include a button/page of info on the subject/background. You have front page etc. so telling us to go look it up is a bit of a cop out.

I will look them though!

Falconer02 responds:

Excellent. I was contemplating doing that, but I didn't want to spoil the research process for people. I'll probably throw a link or two in the description soon. Thank you!

Its very good.

but it need quite a bit of improvement to make it great.

You have clearly put in a lot of effort and it certainly has length. there are some nice touches including some little bits of huour and some bits and pieces of thought and story and some nice sounds.

However, its nearly all one long fight scen without any explanation or introduction. Who is this Spawnmaster? why is he running and jumping down the hole? You have to make this kind of story happen in order to make people CARE what happens to him. It is the quiet moments and the thoughts and the bright times which make the adventure seem exciting and important in contrast.

Also, having spent, I am sure, SO much time putting this good show together you really should have got someone who is good at English to read it through- someone who was NOT involved in the project who can see it objectively.

As for the credits, you need to put some into the notes right NOW, then edit the some of the boring, repetative action scenes a bit. All you need is one button on the end frame directing you to one single frame of static credits, for now at least. You may as well improve your interactivity by making a little menu at the end and including Scene Select, a one frame story background and a simple, one frame glimpse of the future in text- just a summary of how many episodes you plan, when you plan to have an alpha out of the next one etc.
For someone of your abilities, this is all very easy, surely?

Don't zoom in to a closeup of a pixelated sprite, it looks awful. Only zoom in if you are prepared to put in some detail to zoom into.
This story has SO much potential, take whatever time you need and ask for whatever help you need- its already so good you should get it.

Very Good

+Very good art
+Very Good animation
+Well written and explained
+Good layout
+Complete and well finished

-not very well spelt etc:
e.g. knolage/knowledge wah lah!/voila od/of. turial/tutorial.
biews/views
These are just small selection of many errors, most harmless enough, but not inspiring tutorial confidence and detracting from the otherwise very high quality of this production.

In the section on explosions you have shown the result of smoke and arches without the arches you have just taught us.
Also, the step by step demonstration of fiery (spelt thus) element has no fiery element.
Then the final result of the four layers is shown with the halo effect that you have not explained yet, until after the next bit with the explosive.

This promises to be a major contribution to the tuts on NG. Once you have addressed these issues I would be glad to submit this for our tutorials collection. I would also reccomend it to my Dragon & Spirit colleagues and I might even use it myself.
If you are stuck with the text editing, PM me and I will add it to my list, but that will take a while. I suggest you get someone who is NOT involved in the project to go through it slowly and carefully. You don't spot the errors yourselves because you KNOW what you mean and you read what you expect to read when you check it through!
You might consider putting in a courtesy link to the tut page on NG.

I liked the fun choice of music, one of my favourite pieces on NG!

karategangster responds:

Wow, thanks for the extremely in depth review, you also obviously spent your time looking through the tutorial, and it was very kind of you to give such helpful feedback.

Spelling errors, well, that was mainly flashbound's doing, I have a feeling I rushed him abit.

I will fix the spelling errors in time, but it's been a fairly hectic couple of days with this ;).

Again, thanks for the review, and yeah, Denvish is the best audio artist for sure!

stickmen skateboard is common on NG...

... but this one is OK. It sounds good and its neat enough. Nothing wrong with it.

ZeroJ responds:

its OK yay thank you dude !
