Simple but not too bad

Its short, its a loop and it has little story, meaning or personality.

However, its quality is obvious from animation and art to the quality sounds. I would have given it 1/5 but for the quality sounds, especially the sliding sound, perfectly timed. Its actualy quite an absorbing little loop, and I kept studying it, looking at background, timing etc.

great inquery, :), im planning on usung this character in a movie, and i wondered it he was worth keeping, any suggestions ?

So good!

Its, as usual, just a bit too slow, and the humour drags. However, you get into it and every now and then its really funny. I genuinely LOL'd at the very end.

I don't entirely know what it is about the Knox animations that I like so much, but you just have it, from the nonsensical storylines with illogical quirks, to the great sounds and voices.

I was pleased that I couldn't guess what would happen, which is possibly the key to Knox humour.

dull

I think a great little animation could be made using this idea- somehow capturing the idea of a dream inside a dream. Maybe you click on it to see the dream inside and again and again.
With music and sounds to each dream-layer it could be great, even if the art/animation was not that special the potential is there.

However, this is not remotely entertaining to watch and has nothing really to it.

Sethdd responds:

But I don't have that sorta time.

dissapointing

It looks OK, but its not blooperS its just one little loop. Its not funny or interesting enough to carry through by itself. I never like movies that don't have a proper beginning and end, however short, with credits in the movie.

Like it

Looks good. nice images. Simple, but effective animation.

square wheel presentS

Make the whole background of your button the hit are, otherwise, as in your Start button, only the text itself is a hit area. Look at my Art tutorial if you need help with that or anything to do with buttons. Get rid of the white edges- your layers are not going right to the edge of the visible screen.

Thanks. I have made this animated cartoon in the beginning of summer when was able nothing. Now I do another but with a postscoring and I will try to correct defects.

Not bad

Art quite good, animation OK. short and simple, but does the job. Would have been really good if you rose to the challenge of animating the pupa coming out as an adult. Showing the long time it can take to emerge would emphasise the punchline.

Technically its true- there is no larva in this movie, going into the chrysalis makes it a pupa and coming out is the imago or adult.

Nice

I have no sound, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it fits the music!

It seems nice pleasent images and the way one thing transforms into another is done well enough. It would be nice if there were backgrounds for everything.

Flash always loops unless you tell it not to with a stop command in the last frame. When you do that, always give us a Replay button, which is very easy to do.

Aousagi responds:

I tried doing the stop command but whenever I tried it still wouldn't work. My teacher told me it should have, but I don't think he really knows what he's talking about. Thanks for the comments though. ^^

Good

Great art, OK animation. Llike that hand. Way better than just a circle for hands. I have no speakers but you had subtitles so, good!

Whilst I suppose I get the idea, its a bit of an inside joke for the rest of us. I assume this is a Clock forum. You might somehow actually explain this - a little page at the end or something, or even just in the authors notes.
If you want people to go to previous episodes first, you should have a bold bossy link at the very beginning, we are a lazy lot!

C0mBineD responds:

yeah its all inside jokes that happen on the forum and the castle is basically a visual manifestation of the forum in this series. with every forum member in it ofcourse

should really watch it with sound next time its way better.

Very good!

Such enthusiasm! Its fun. I learnt a little too- I didn't know they used tritium as a light source.

Punchy images, great talking. Some humour, made me smile a little.

Could have a link to more info, such as Wikipedia tritium or something- please add that, its so easy.

Very Good

Very good art, animation, sound and GREAT music. Nice ideas- the whole Pumpkin Planet itself is good and you expressed the yellow creature's thoughts well. I think it a good thing to have such a very different idea for Halloween.

However, I felt the whole thing too closely resembled the chase etc between Bitey of Brackenwood and the Fatsack- Perhaps entirely a coincidence, but if you go and see it you will see what I mean. The artwork is even similar in style.

I also felt that the animation for the yellow creature looked rather crude. It could have been a more interesting creature. I think it would be good if you showed us a little more of the planet.

manuelberja responds:

thanks man. well,i don't know if it was similar to those movies. i know bitey but i don't know the other one you've mentioned. i don't know if my style is also similar to those movies. i think it's different, cuz if we talk about the material, they have what i don't.they use tablet and i use mouse. maybe the story has similar ideas, but believe me i don't know about it.i didn't copy their work.
wow man, how i love this long review. ^_^
